Fairfield County EMS was the first department to ever certify their entire crew in neonatal resuscitation through NeoHERO Foundation® achieving neonatal transport excellence. The entire staff prepared and studied for 30 days prior to NeoHERO’s® arrival and then committed to 4 days of hands-on instruction and training, completing our program on December 18, 2025.

“I’ve been in and around EMS since 1994 and I have to say that previous pediatric course instructors were just as uncomfortable with pediatric patients as I was. This only continues the anxiety related with calls of service. No disrespect to anyone at all. But, this mindset of training provided by NeoHERO breaks that mold! It takes an uncomfortable situation and breaks down the steps of training into a manageable, relaxed and productive way of retraining the EMS brain. I would recommend NeoHERO over ANY other pediatric course that I have ever taken! All of our caregivers that I’ve spoken to had nothing but positive feedback from this course! Fairfield County EMS has been taking big strides in education, equipment, and staffing that will benefit the citizens and visitors to our community! I am so proud of Fairfield County EMS and of the NeoHERO program! If it makes a difference in just one life, then every bit of education and training will be absolutely worth it! Thank you Lindsay Spurgeon! Awesome program!!”
